Erotic Stories
I had fun writing "The Pirate's Sword," about a young, naive missionary to the islands, because it gave me a chance to look back at Hawai'ian history. You can find it in Treasure Trail: Erotic Tales of Pirates on the High Seas, also from Alyson.
Florida, a hurricane, and a golden retriever-- all elements of my own life-- come together in "Storm Report," in which a homeowner is rescued by a house-repairing hunk when he's knocked out during a storm. Read it in Ultimate Gay Erotica 2008, another of the great Alyson anthologies.
I spent two summers in Nice, France, trying to write novels, and the story "On The Beach at Nice," which appears in Tales of Travelrotica for Gay Men from Alyson, has a lot of the Riviera atmosphere I soaked up during those months.
I loved living in New York-- but by the time I left Manhattan for Miami, I was ready to leave. Writing "Rounding Third," which appears in Alyson's collection Best Gay Love Stories: New York City was a way for me to return to those days. Interestingly (at least to me) this wasn't a piece of erotica at first. But looking back on it a few years after it was written, I saw the erotic undercurrent and was able to bring it to the surface easily.
Have you ever seen a red silk jockstrap with an elephant's face on it? It figures prominently in my short story "The Elephant Jock," in Alyson's collection Ultimate Undies: Erotic Stories About Underwear and Lingerie.
I really enjoy a good romance as much as a sexy piece of erotica, and my story, "Mi Amor, Mi Corazon, Mi Cielo," is ultra-romantic. My agent had suggested I write a proposal for a gay romance for Kensington Books, and this story is essentially the first chapter of that book. When Kensington didn't like it, I tweaked it a bit for Best Gay Romance for Cleis.
I have a fun story called "Canine Connection" in a new book from Torquere Press called Animal Attraction. It's about two guys whose dogs bring them together-- and then threaten to break them apart.
I wrote a story called "The Summer of the Hippie" for Alyson's Summer Flings-- but sadly, it was not accepted. So I made a couple of minor changes, and voila! The story was accepted for this Zane anthology, Flesh to Flesh.

I spent five years working as a project manager on various shopping center construction sites, and the hard -working, hard-bodied guys I saw around me every day were the subject of some of my most intense fantasies. From the shirtless carpenters to the beefy laborers, there was plenty of guy candy.

I loved their macho posturing, and after a few months I was able to give and take with the best of them. I always had an eye out for a handsome guy, and for a secluded corner of the site where we could get together.

That experience inspired me to put together a collection for Cleis Press called Hard Hats, asking some of the best writers of gay erotica to turn their attention to the hard-hatted construction workers who had provided me with so much inspiration in the past. There’s just something about a guy with a tool belt that turns me on, and I hope you’ll feel the same way about the men in these very hot stories.

Take a trip to the top of a highrise under construction, or down in to the belly of a mine. Hang out in the backyard with some hunky landscapers or roofers, slip into a construction manager’s RV or into a storefront under construction. Wherever you go, you’ll find sexy, men-loving men who are turned on by their buddies’ tools. In this world, the hats aren’t the only things that are hard!

Kimo-Rotica
The Kimo-Rotica has moved to the Kimo Stories page.
In the Pipeline
I have a bunch of stories in the pipeline as well. My science fiction story, "To The Northern Highlands" was scheduled for the second half of Distant Horizons, a two-part anthology from Haworth Press edited by Greg Herren, but with Haworth's demise, the future of that anthology is uncertain.

There's a story called "Missionary Road," which follows Jimmy Ah Wang, a minor character in Māhū and Māhū Fire, to be published in Rough Trade, a sex worker anthology also edited by Greg and also in search of a publisher.

I've also got a few other stories written that are just waiting for the right anthology-- and I'm sure I'll be writing more soon.
